EUROVOLLEY 2017 W: Italy advance to quarterfinals, the Dutch girls take 2nd place in Pool D

The Italian team is the second one that have claimed the spot in the quarterfinals of the European Championship.

Italy had a difficult game against Croatia, however, they have earned very important points that pushed them to the quarterfinals 3-2 (25-23, 25-21, 19-25, 10-25, 15-11).

They were close to drop 2-0 lead, fortunately for their fans in the tie-break the Italian girls set the control and won the game.

Paola Egonu was in the spotlight as she scored 30 points, while Samanta Fabris had 25 on the other side.

In the Pool D, the Netherlands have defeated the Czech Republic to take the second place 3-1 (25-21, 25-15, 21-25, 25-22).

Belgium – Serbia 1-3 (26-24, 20-25, 22-25, 21-25)
