Turkey quickly got the 2-0 lead but Ukraine didn’t want to surrender that easily, so they forced game into the fourth set.
This part of the game was very uncertain, however, Giovanni Guidetti’s side prevailed over the rival to survive and to send the Ukrainian girls home.
Neriman Ozsoy (18 points) and Eda Erdem were the top scorers in Turkey. On the other side, Karyna Denysova had 17 points.
Turkey will meet Poland in the 1/8 finals.
