Samara
A 24-year-old receiver Samara Almeida strengthened the squad of a multiple consecutive champions of Switzerland, Volero.
In the past season, the Brazilian player had a notable display in the CEV Women’s Volleyball Champions League with Romanian title holders CS Volei Alba-Blaj. Prior to that, she has worn the jersey of the two Brazilian powerhouses Camponesa/Minas, and Vôlei Nestlé/Osasco, among other clubs.
The career of a young athlete is decorated with some major trophies: in the FIVB Club World Championship (2012) and South American Club Championship (2011 and 2012). Samara has also received several individual awards, of which one stands out – at the age of 16, she was awarded Best Youth World Player.
