Chirichella
After having dinner at the hotel in the German city of Schwerin, where they played two friendlies, the Italian players and staff were invited by the German Federation to spend the New Year’s Eve in a pub together with the players of the German National Team.
Unfortunately, inside the pub, Chirichella accidentally hurt her ankle. Distortion at the time did not seem too serious, but during the night it worsened.
Despite the fact that the medical staff has begun the appropriate therapies for her to recover in time for the Qualification Tournament, head coach Marco Bonitta didn’t want to risk anything and called Sara Bonifacio as possible replacement for Chirichella. She will arrive directly to Turkey.
The final decision on Chirichella will be made today.
