Perugia
In a match that could cause heart-attack to some sensitive fans due to its intensity, Perugia proved to be more lucid and prevailed over Lube in tie-break 3-2 (20-25, 25-20, 25-22, 18-25, 15-13).
Perugia took tie-break mostly thanks to great blocking which kept them alive many times during previous four sets (13 overall against Lube’s 9) while their Serbian bomber Aleksandar Atanasijević highlighted with 30 points. On the other side, Osmany Junatorena had 20 points.
The series is now moving to Perugia. Game 2 is scheduled on April 12.
