They say that the whole team of Sora cost as much as Mitar Djurić of Verona, however in volleyball money is usually not the main factor to decide the winner. That was the case this Wednesday evening when Sora pulled off a major upset by eliminating Verona from the Italian Cup!
Sora defeated Verona on the road in straight sets and advanced to the quarterfinals! After the match, Verona head coach Andrea Giani handed over his resignation to the club’s board… We are about to see who will be the next coach of the Blue team.
At the same time, Piacenza, Monza and Vibo Valentia also progressed to the quarterfinals of the Italian Cup, so we now have the full bracket. Take a look:
