The third and the decisive game of the final series was not played. Paykan Tehran asked the Iranian Volleyball Federation to postpone the match due to death of Reza Ebrahimi, however their request was denied with an explanation that the final series cannot last any longer because the national team have to start their preparations on time.
Paykan Tehran announced that they can’t attend today’s decisive game of the Finals, so the Iranian Volleyball Federation decided to name Sarmayeh Bank the new champions of Iran.
Recall that the overall score in the series was 1-1.
