The Purple squad said after the first round that they will play better in the games to come, and they fulfilled that promise. In the 2nd round of the FIVB Women’s Club World Championship, Volero Zurich downed Hisamitsu Springs in straight sets and secured their spot among the top 4 teams of the tournament.
The Swiss powerhouse just left no chance for their Japanese opponents. Olesia Rykhliuk made another powerful performance by scoring 19 points and led her team toward another win.
With 2 wins out of the 2 games, the only question is whether Volero Zurich will finish the group stage at the 1st or at the 2nd place of Group B. We will get the answer on that question after the Thursday’s derby match between Volero Zurich and VakifBank Istanbul.
