RIO 2016 M: Russia break 3 Olympic records!!!

Russia

Russia

The 25-9 difference in the third set broke the record of 25-10 set by Spain against Egypt in the second set of a 3-0 victory at Sydney in 2000 and later equaled by Poland also against Egypt in the third set of a 3-0 win in Beijing 2008.

The 112 total points between the two teams erased the old mark of 119-point set in a Cuban victory over Egypt in Sydney 2000.

It was also the shortest match in men’s Olympic history in time duration with only 54 minutes with the previous quickest match a victory of Serbia over Egypt in 56 minutes in Beijing.

Russia men’s volleyball team have therefore set 3 Olympic records in a single match! WOW!
