According to several Turkish websites, VakifBank and Besiktas agreed on players exchange. VakifBank will therefore get Cansu Özbay, while Besktas will acquire Cagla Akin.
Both of them are very talented setters. Cansu Özbay started her career in Besiktas, while then she spent one season in Nilufer (2014/15) before returning to the black and white crew. From the next season she will be a replacement for legendary Naz Aydemir in VakifBank.
On the other side, Cagla Akin spent her entire career in VakifBank, however she obviously wanted to spend more time on the court, so she accepted to go to Besiktas and lead this team in the 2016/17 season.
