The winners of the Asian Beach Volleyball Championship are Naraphornrapat & Kongphopsarutawadee and McHugh & Burnett

With today’s final matches, the Asian Senior Beach Volleyball Championship 2021 ended in Phuket, Thailand.

Miki Ishii/Sayaka Mizoe of Japan and Taravadee Naraphornrapat/Worapeerachayakorn Kongphopsarutawadee of Thailand played in the women’s final. The gold medal and first place went to Taravadee Naraphornrapat/Worapeerachayakorn Kongphopsarutawadee after a 2-0 victory in the final match (29-27, 21-19).

In the match for the bronze medal and third place, two Australian national teams met. The bronze medal and third place went to Phoebe Bell/Georgia Johnson, who defeated their compatriots Kiwis Shaunna Polley/Alice Zeimann 2-0 (21-17, 22-20).

Australians Christopher McHugh/Paul Burnett and Iranians Bahman Salemi/Abolhassan Khakizadeh played in the men’s final. In the seminals Christopher McHugh/Paul Burnett defeated Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games bronze medallists Cherif Younousse/Ahmed Tijan from Qatar 2-0 (21-16, 21-19), while Bahman Salemi/Abolhassan Khakizadeh defeated Dmitriy Yakovlev/Sergey Bogatu of Kazakhstan 2-0 (21-12, 21-14).

The gold medal and first place went to Christopher McHugh/Paul Burnett, after defeating Bahman Salemi/Abolhassan Khakizadeh 2-0 (21-16, 21-13) in the final.

Cherif Younousse/Ahmed Tijan from Qatar won third place and a bronze medal after beating Dmitriy Yakovlev/Sergey Bogatu from Kazakhstan 2-0 (21-15, 21-15).
