
Italy’s Valentina Gottardi and Reka Orsi Toth claimed their first Beach Pro Tour gold in Hamburg, defeating world No.1 Brazilians Thamela Coradello and Victoria Lopes 2-1 (17-21, 21-18, 15-6) in Sunday’s final.
The victory marks the first Elite gold for an Italian women’s team, with Orsi Toth calling it a “dream come true.”
Brazil’s Olympic champions Duda Lisboa and Ana Patrícia Ramos secured bronze after beating Germany’s Svenja Müller and Cinja Tillmann in straight sets.
