Italian volleyball champions Sir Safety Susa Vim Perugia have confirmed that middle blocker Agustin Loser suffered a tear to the right meniscus during their recent Champions League away match in Prague.

The Argentine international picked up the injury in the second set of the penultimate CEV Champions League group-stage match in the Czech Republic. After returning to Italy, Loser underwent an MRI scan on his right knee to determine the extent of the problem.
According to an official statement released by the club’s medical staff, Dr. Giuseppe Sabatino confirmed that the examination revealed a lesion of the right meniscus. Surgery now appears to be the most likely course of action. Club sources indicate that the procedure is expected to take place on Monday and will be performed by Professor Auro Caraffa and Dr. Marco Pellegrino.
The news represents a significant setback for Perugia at a critical stage of the season. As the team heads into the decisive phase of domestic and European competition, Loser’s absence in the middle of the net will be keenly felt.
The club is expected to provide further updates in the coming days regarding the outcome of the surgery and a projected recovery timeline.
