After 10 days of voting on our website, the Chinese player has earned a convincing victory.
She has won the race among these players: Tijana Boskovic (Eczacibasi), Lonneke Sloetjes (Vakifbank), Paola Egonu (Novara) and Milena Rasic (Vakifbank).
It’s the fact that the fans of Zhu Ting were the most active. Some of them were coming from China, some of the from Thailand, some of them from Turkey and some of them from the USA.
She received 81% of votes, while the second-placed Milena Rasic got 5,1%. The third-placed was Tijana Boskovic with 4,85%, while Lonneke Sloetjes (4,45%) and Paola Egonu (3,74%) come as the fourth and fifth in the list.

I am not a fan of Zhu Ting (I like Kim Hill, Boskovic) but I definitely gave vote to her because her spike is really amazing.
i am a fun of Zhu Ting and Boskovic and Kim Hill, they all are excellent players. but if i can only vote one, i vote Zhu, because she is more experienced and smarter, yet sharp enough player.
I’m a chinses fan, I don’t think Zhu deserve the best player of 2018. Even most of the chinese volleyball fans approve that zhu won this time, because of the great chinese population and Zhu‘ crazy fan’s voting. So you have better improve the voting rules(just like the average percent from every country), otherwise it’s unfair to other best player, just like Boskovic.
so you are a crazy fan of Boskvic.
Re: @nixon
You are not a Chinese fan . We don’t have anyone named Nixon in China.
ReI: @nixon
In the world championship 2018. The Chinese team only 2 points lost to Italy in fifth, And Italy only a few points lost to Serbia . If China is champion, Zhu will be MVP, Egonu will be the best opposite, Boskovic will be what?,If Italy is Champoin, Egono will be MVP, Zhu still is the best spiker, Boskovic will be the best opposite . So, They are the best player in the worldright now.
It’s ridiculous and somehow it discredits everyone involved in it. WoV offers a lot of useful information, but the player-of-the-year polls cast a poor light on this website. What’s the point if only one player (Zhu Ting) has the chance to win? You just won’t be taken very seriously if you go on like this.
Tijana became world champion in 2018 and no one can take that away from her.
Re: @Suzana
they both are the best. whoever won the votes, just accept it.
Re: @Suzana
you mean, if you are the world champion, you should be the best player of the year? other players did t win the world champion, but they still deserve the best player of the year, such Egonu.
Re: @VolleyFan
In 2018, the highest level national match, is the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship, Boskovic is the MVP. The highest level club match, is the CEV Champions League,Gözde is the MVP. Both MVP have nothing to do with Zhu.
Re: @nixon
you mean, only MVP can be the player of the year? Matt Anderson did not win any MVP, but he is the best player of the year.
Re: @cooper
MVP can be a key reference, I didn’t say that it’s the only basis. Matt Anderson won the votes(about 1850), it’s a normal percentage of 25. Zhu won 81% of votes, it’s ballot stuffing, it’s abnormal. Of course, Zhu is one of the best player, she is the honor of China.
Re: @cooper
He did!

2013 NORCECA Championship – Most Valuable Player
2014 Russian League – Most Valuable Player
2015 FIVB World Cup – Most Valuable Player
seems like Eurosong voting. Bošković, Egonu, Rašić, Gabi, Caixeta, … nothing to do with real Volleyball
