Bulgarian coach Camillo Placi decided to rest the best player Tsvetan Sokolov, as well as Zhekov and Nikolov.
The best scorers in defeated side were Milushev and Aleksiev with 13 points each, while Pavlov made 15 points for N. Novgorod.
Bulgaria will have two more friendly games in the preparation period, and both of them will be against Turkey.
