In ladies competition, Uralochka seized important victory in Baku. Azerrail – Uralochka 1-3 (25-22, 23-25, 13-25, 16-25). Home side just couldn’t find a solution for Sinead Jack who scored 23 points.
In men category, very exciting match was seen in Bulgaria, where host Gabrovo defeated Maliye Piyango 3-2 (25-23, 14-25, 25-23, 23-25, 15-13). In overcrowded Arena, Bulgarian side managed to take minimal lead before going to Turkey, mostly thanks to Stanislav Petkov who made 29 points.
In other game, Bulh was ruthless towards PAOK 3-0 (25-19, 25-16, 25-23).
