Again, away team managed to play only one close set. This time it was the second one, but Dimitriy Muserskiy destroyed all Serbian hopes. Firstly with strong spike, and then with an ace which doubled the lead in sets.
Therefore squad of Andrey Voronkov had its revenge. Russians left Serbia with only one point a month ago, but now they collected the full package and reached second place in Pool.
Pool B, standings: USA 18 (7-0), Russia 14 (4-4), Serbia 11 (4-4), Bulgaria 2 (0-7).
