Italy has beaten Japan 3-2 (25-20, 25-17, 21-25, 20-25, 15-11) in the opening game of the second Grand Prix weekend (Group 1).

But it is not the only good thing for Azzurri. Coach Bonitta can be happy because Nadia Centoni successfully recovered from a knee injury and made one more strong performance.

Centoni finished the game with 25 points, which gave her the title of Top Scorer.

Italy now has score 3-1 and 7 points, while Japan is still without the win (0-4) with 2 points.
