Iran – France 1-3 (18-25, 25-14, 19-25, 27-29)
Anything that coach Slobodan Kovac did during the game couldn’t help Iran to avoid defeat. France had all the answers all day long. Weather it was Ngapeth attacking or Le Roux blocking, didn’t matter, it was just France’s day.
They even started amazing taking Iran down in the first set very convincingly but the Asians responded with the same force.
Then the third set came and great confidence of France overtook the game during the middle of the third set for the 2-1 lead.
Fourth was just a masterpiece for the fans. With so many challenges, close calls, clutch plays, still France had the final say and ran away with three points.
