France plays “only” to secure the first place in Pool D, while Belgium needs victory to remain in the race for the next phase. However, after seeing the past results at this tournament, we are not going to put money on Red Dragons.
The reason is quite obvious. Belgium has lost all important matches so far. Iran was better by 3-1, so was Italy, while USA defeated Belgian side after a tie-break 3-2.
Will today be any different? We doubt it.
