Once again there is a question of money, and a dilemma is the CEV Champions League actually a profitable competition for all clubs? Polish website sportowefakty.pl, reminded us all about this problem in the interview with Pawel Papke, the President of the Polish Volleyball Federation.
“We are talking with the President of CEV (Andre Meyer) to find a solution how to help clubs on the financial aspect. It is not a simple thing, and it is a problem we are struggling with for many years. But, you have to understand that the Champions League in football and the Champions League in volleyball are two completely different things. Firstly, because of the popularity. In Poland, the interest about volleyball is huge, but in some other European countries it is not the case…” said Papke.
We have seven months until the start of the new Champions League edition. We will see if something is about to change until then…
