Many volleyball teams around the globe are about to start the preparations for the new season. This article makes a part of the WoVCOACH series of articles where WoV will try to introduce you some of the fitness exercises which volleyball teams use during a pre-season period to make solid physical preparation base for the next 8 months of the competition season.

Volleyball coaches use different approaches while working with a team in this pre-season period. It all depends of the personal preferences of the coach. Some of them like to use beach and sand in order to prepare the players for the jumps in the gym by simulating more soft surface at the begininng. Others use water and swimming pool to use the fluid for a lower resistance body needs in this period. Or there can be different types of running (indoor or outdoor).

In the next articles WoV will supply you with the exercises that you could use and test. Every weekend WoV would like to hear a feedback from you in the COMMENTS inside each article.
