Tunisia reached the final of the 2026 African Men’s Volleyball Championship after beating Morocco 3-1 in semifinal in Tunis.
The hosts secured a 25-17, 20-25, 25-16, 25-12 victory in one hour and 40 minutes, moving one win away from a 12th continental title.
Tunisia held a significant attacking advantage, recording 53 attack points to Morocco’s 37 and 10 winning blocks to five. The hosts outscored Morocco 95-70 overall.
Ali Bongui led Tunisia with a match-high 17 points, while Morocco’s Oussama El Azhari scored 16. Oussama Ben Romdhane added 15 for Tunisia.
The championship carries major qualification implications, with the African title linked to a place at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics, while the tournament’s three medalists are set to qualify for the 2027 Men’s World Championship.
Morocco will now turn its attention to the bronze-medal match.
