Horacio Dileo has been officially appointed as the new head coach of Argentina’s men’s national team, marking the start of a fresh phase for the program after the successful run of Marcelo Méndez.

The decision was finalized in a meeting between FeVA president Juan Sardo, team director Pablo Lueje, and Dileo, with his tenure set to begin in early 2026. His first season will be a busy one, featuring the South American Championship and the Volleyball Nations League.
Dileo, 62, is no stranger to the national team. He previously served as Méndez’s assistant and returned in 2025 to help guide the squad through major international events. He also brings club-level experience from Brazil’s Superliga, where he currently leads Vôlei Renata.
