In front of 4,000 fans in a fully packed Alejo Gronda Hall, Argentina defeated Russia 3-2 (25-22, 20-25, 23-25, 25-21, 15-11).
The Russian team led by amazing Dmitry Yakovlev (31 points) were much closer to win after 2-1 lead in sets, but brave boys from Argentina managed to make turnaround in the last two sets!
Jan Martinez Franchi was the top scorer in Argentina with 16 points, while Felipe Benavidez and Manuel Balague had 14 each.
Argentina will play for the gold against Poland!
