The presence of nine teams including for the first time the Bolivian Youth’s team derived in a new playing formula decided by the South American Confederation, with Chile heading as home team Pool A together with Peru and Uruguay and Brazil, Venezuela and Bolivia as part of Pool C.
So, every team will have a day free in the preliminary three days’ round and Argentina will start with its free day, facing Paraguay on Thursday, Nov. 8th and playing against Colombia on Friday, Nov. 9th.
Top teams on the three pools and best second will qualify directly for semi-finals. Semi-finals will take place next Saturday, Nov. 10th qualifying the first two places for Mexico while on Sunday at the bronze match, the third team will be qualified.
The competition will take place at the Olympic Training Centre in the capital of Chile, Santiago.
