The top-seed Personal Bolívar made a good start of the best-of-five semifinal series as they beat No.4 Ciudad Vóley at home by a 3-0 (25-18, 25-21, 25-16). The match was marked by an emotional moment. Bolívar veteran setter Demián González returned to the court after five months and was greeted by more than 1,000 spectators at República de Venezuela, which is a rather poor attendance, knowing the capacity of the gymnasium (4,600 seats).
The Brazilian from Bolívar, Théo Lopes, was top scorer of the match with 15 points and 79% attack (11/14, 1 error). Maximiliano Gauna made 6 kill blocks, while Alexis González recorded 83% reception (12 digs, 1 error, 67% perfect).
No.2 UPCN San Juan Vóley Club recovered from 0-1 to defeat a third-seed Lomas Vóley by a 3-1, partially 19-25, 25-19, 25-20, 25-18 at their Estadio Aldo Cantoni.
The best scorer of UPCN was the Pole Zbigniew Bartman with 25 points. Sebastián Garrocq made 82% reception (11 digs, 45% perfect), while Martín Ramos notched 79% attack (11/14, 1 error).
