Noumory Keita delivered a match-high 28 points as Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi opened the AVC Men’s Champions League knockout stage with a 3-1 quarterfinal victory over Kazakhstan’s Zhaiyk.
Playing in front of home supporters, the Indonesian side controlled most of the match to win 25-19, 25-27, 25-19, 25-21 and secure a place in the semifinals. Rok Mozic added 15 points, while Robertlandy Simon contributed 11. Zhaiyk was led by Amirhossein Esfandiar with 19 points.
South Korea’s Hyundai Capital Skywalkers also advanced after defeating Qatar’s Al-Rayyan Sports Club 3-1. The Korean club earned the win with set scores of 25-20, 25-20, 21-25, 25-21.
The remaining quarterfinals will be played tomorrow, featuring JTEKT Stings Aichi against Nakhonratchasima 3M Films and Foolad Sirjan Iranian versus Jakarta Garuda Jaya.
