As usual, two matches per day will be played and only in the Preliminary Round will be 40 matches plus 11-18 matches in the Quarterfinal, semifinal and Final rounds. That means that in 26-30 days, teams will play around 51-58 matches.
The format of the Grand Prix 2018 is the same as in the previous season. Preliminary round has two Rounds.
- Round 1 – single round robin
- Round 2 – round robin inside pools (Pool A – Ranked 1, 3, 6 8; Pool B – Ranked 2, 4, 5, 7)

In the first matches, Foton beat Generika-Ayala with a 3-1 (25-19, 22-25, 25-16, 25-22) led by Alison Kranda who scored 21 points.
Petron Spikers outplayed Sta Lucia also with 3-1 (25-21, 18-25, 25-17, 25-20) and Lindsay Marie Stalzer was the MVP with 30 points.
On Day 2, Sta. Lucia scored their first win in the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix after they defeated Generika-Ayala, 3-2 (21-25, 25-21, 23-25, 25-15, 15-7). Bogdana Anisova scored 28 points for the winning team.
Cignal HD defeated Cocolife in straight sets 25-15, 28-26, 25-15.
