Rabita Baku, Azerrail Baku and Volero Zurich might get invitations to join the Russian Championship in the 2017/18 season. Everything is still unofficial, but it is not a secret that each side is very interested about this project.
“Simply, the team cannot reach its full potential when it is playing in the league of just 6 clubs. Azerbaijani Championship is therefore not so strong, so it would be great to be part of the Russian Championship,” said Telecom/Rabita Baku head coach Zoran Gajić.
