A trend of the arrival of Italian female volleyball players to Brazilian clubs continues.

Following the example of several Italian players who have chosen Brazil as their destination to play professionally in recent seasons (Valentina Diouf in Sesi Vôlei Bauru in 2018/19 and Valeria Papa in C. R. Flamengo last season), Laura Partenio has also decided to experience the Superliga Feminina, joining the club for which Diouf has played – Bauru. The 28-year-old outside hitter spent the last two seasons in Lardini Filottrano.

It’s expected that the team from the São Paulo state secure the signing of one more player covering this position – the country’s ex-national team player Mariana Costa “Mari Paraíba” from Italy’s Saugella Monza.

Bauru have already set up the high-level roster by renewing with five players and by signing with three.
