The choice of the best athletes was made by a jury consisting of journalists, former athletes and sports personalities.
Competitors for the best athlete of the year are:
Arthur Zanetti (gymnastics) , Cesar Cielo (swimming ) and Jorge Zarif (sailing) – men.
Poliana Okimoto (swimming maraton), Rafaela Silva (judo) and Yane Marques (modern pentathlon) – women.
