BRA W: “Perfect year” – describes Fabiana Claudino

Brazilian Women’s National Team landed in Sao Paolo with trophy of Grand Champions Cup. It was the fifth major competition won by Brazil in recent period which is outstanding result, and Fabiana Claudino, MVP from Japan, agrees with that statement.

Somebody say that this was almost a perfect year, but for me it was just perfect. We know how many difficulties we faced in 2013. But, we always try do move forward and progress, not just sit and enjoy success. We all know what is our next biggest goal, but World Championship 2014 will be tough tournament” – said Fabiana Claudino.

It is interesting that Brazil in 2013 has 35 victories from 36 matches. Only Bulgarians defeated the Olympic champion in the qualifying stage of Granf Prix.

We ended the year in the same way we started it. You never know what can happen in post-Olympic year when teams make many experiments. We lost some players, but we managed to maintain the level and keep winning. It is important, because this is a beginning of a new journey which will end on 2016 in Rio de Janeiro – stated libero Fabi
