Gerdau Minas emerged as the winners of the 2023 Brazilian Women’s Cup by clinching the title for the third time.
The team’s impressive block performance, with 16 block points, proved to be a key factor in their success. They secured a 3-1 (28-26, 25-18, 15-25, 25-17) win over Dentil/Praia Clube at the Arena Jaraguá in Jaraguá do Sul, to secure the Copa Brasil title.

Thaísa Menezes scored 10 points in total, with five points coming from successful blocks.
ThaísaMenezes stated: “During crucial moments of the game, our team demonstrated resilience and perseverance. This is a narrative that has been consistently observed in Minas, where the team’s success stems from collective effort. Our coaching staff is incredibly dedicated, often working late into the night to create effective game plans and strategies. It is through this collective effort that our block performance was able to shine, ultimately leading to our success. We are now able to enjoy the benefits of our hard work and dedication.”
Priscila Daroit, who scored 18 points in the final match, was also a key player in the team’s victory. Her celebration of the title was especially meaningful as she had been absent from the beginning of the season.
