Gerdau Minas secured a resounding victory over Pinheiros at the Henrique Villaboin gymnasium in São Paulo. Dominating the court, they emerged victorious with a 3-0 set win, showcasing their prowess in each set with scores of 25-21, 25-17, and 25-19. This win marked their sixth in the Brazilian Bet7k Women’s Superliga 2023/24 season. A standout performance by Mitchem, who scored a remarkable 16 points, earned her the top scorer of the match and the prestigious VivaVôlei Trophy.

In another thrilling match of the league, Dentil/Praia Clube faced a challenging battle against Barueri. The intense game, held at the José Correa gymnasium in Barueri, pushed both teams to their limits. Dentil/Praia Clube had to rally from behind, eventually clinching the win in a five-set thriller with scores of 22-25, 25-20, 20-25, 25-20, and 15-12. This victory, however, couldn’t prevent them from slipping to second place in the standings, now holding 17 points, one shy of Gerdau Minas. Tainara, who spent some time on the bench, made a notable comeback in the attack, earning herself the VivaVôlei Trophy for her commendable performance. 

Barueri, despite their valiant efforts, remains winless in the competition. With this loss, they have faced five defeats in as many games, positioning them second-to-last in the standings with 2 points, just ahead of São Caetano. The top four teams in the Superliga are currently Minas (18 points), Praia (17), Sesc RJ Flamengo (12), and Fluminense (11).

Earlier, Sesc RJ Flamengo defeated Fluminense. Coached by Bernardinho, Sesc RJ Flamengo won 3-1, with set scores of 27-29, 25-15, 25-22, 25-20. American outside hitter Roni was the top scorer of the match with 26 points, earning the Viva Vôlei Trophy, while Uzelac scored 22 points.
