Brazil’s U19 women’s volleyball team triumphed at the South American U19 Championship, held in Araguari, with a flawless performance. Coached by Guilherme Schmitz, the team defeated Argentina in straight sets (25-18, 25-20, 25-15) to reclaim the title. This victory marked Brazil’s 16th championship, after taking silver in the previous two editions.
Team captain Mikaela Tierno expressed overwhelming joy after the match, describing the win as an emotional high for her and her teammates.
Peru also had a standout performance, securing third place and a spot in the World Championship after defeating Chile 3-0.
