BRA W: Amanda Campos Recovering After Scary On-Court Collision

Fluminense has shared an update on Amanda Campos, who was taken to the hospital after a head injury during the match against SESC RJ Flamengo.

After undergoing tests, Amanda was released and is now home, under the care of the club’s medical team and following the concussion protocol.

The accident happened near the end of the tie-break in the Carioca Championship final, when Amanda collided with teammate Ariane while defending. The game was stopped immediately, and medical staff from both teams rushed to help.

Amanda reportedly lost consciousness for a few moments and left the court on a stretcher, leaving teammates visibly shaken.

After play resumed, SESC RJ Flamengo closed the set 15–12 and took the title. Amanda will remain under observation and is expected to miss Fluminense’s Superliga debut.

The club reassured fans: “Amanda is well and will stay under observation following the concussion protocol.”
