BRA M: Sada Cruzeiro Overcomes Joinville

In front of their home crowd, Sada Cruzeiro bounced back from a shaky start to beat Joinville by 3 sets to 1 — with scores of 22-25, 25-20, 25-12, and 25-11 — in the fourth round of the Brazilian 2025/26 Men’s Volleyball Superliga.

After dropping the first set, Cruzeiro regained control with sharper attacks and solid blocking. Welinton Oppenkoski, who stepped in for the injured Wallace De Souza, led the team’s charge with 19 points. Rodrigo LeãoRodriguinho added 18 points and was named the match MVP.

Supported by strong performances from Lucas SaatkampLucão, Douglas Souza, and Otávio Pinto, Cruzeiro dominated the last two sets, leaving Joinville without answers.

For the visitors, Robert Araújo was the main scorer with 13 points, while Marcus Coelho and Felipe Brito contributed 9 each. Despite a promising start, Joinville couldn’t keep pace with Cruzeiro’s growing momentum.
