BRA W: Flamengo Stays Perfect With Dominant Win Over Osasco

Sesc RJ Flamengo kept its flawless start alive in the Brazilian Women’s Superliga, sweeping Osasco/São Cristóvão Saúde in a much-anticipated battle of unbeaten teams. Flamengo controlled the match from start to finish and walked away with a confident 3–0 victory with scores of 25–23, 25–16, and 25–17.

Even without American outside hitter Simone Lee-Wank, who sat out with Achilles discomfort, Flamengo looked sharp. Helena Wenk stepped into the lineup and delivered big, earning the VivaVôlei MVP award. The Rio team served aggressively, scoring seven aces, and showed stronger blocking and overall teamwork. Five Flamengo players hit double digits, with Helena leading the way with 13 points.

For Osasco, the night was a struggle. Tifanny Abreu came off the bench to score nine points—one more than Caitie Baird—but the team never found its rhythm. To make matters worse, middle blocker Valquíria Dullius injured her ankle late in the match and had to leave the court.
