BRA M: Joinville Completes Comeback, Moves Out of Drop Zone

Joinville came from two sets down to defeat Azulim Monte Carmelo 3-2 (21-25, 21-25, 25-17, 25-20, 15-8) in Monte Carmelo, closing the 18th round of the Brazilian Superliga.

The win lifts Joinville to 18 points and 10th place, moving them out of the relegation zone. Monte Carmelo remains ninth with 25 points.

Kauan Jaques led Joinville with 16 points, while Marcus Coelho added 14 and earned MVP honors. For Monte Carmelo, Lucas Lima had 15 points, with Hisham Ewais and Daniel Pinto adding 14 each.

In other match, Saneago Goiás swept Guarulhos 3-0 (25-21, 25-14, 25-17) to reclaim fifth place. André Saliba scored 14 points, and Henrique Batagim added 10 and was named MVP.

SESI Bauru also climbed into the playoff zone after sweeping JF Vôlei 3-0. Marcos Júnior led with 16 points. The loss confirmed JF Vôlei’s relegation.

In other matches, Itambé Minas edged Vôlei Renata Campinas 3-2, and leaders Sada Cruzeiro defeated São José 3-0.
