Despite missing Thaisa Daher due to illness, Minas imposed control after a balanced start, using strong serving and efficient offense to dictate the match. The victory gives the home side a 1–0 lead in the best-of-three series, with a chance to advance in the next match away from home.

Maria Khaletskaya led all scorers with 16 points, including four aces, while Priscila Daroit made a important impact off the bench, finishing with 11 points and earning MVP honors.

Gerdau Minas outperformed their opponents across all metrics, leading in attack points (43–31), blocks (9–4), and aces (6–1).

The series now moves to Maringá, where the hosts must win to extend the matchup to a deciding third game.

Result: Gerdau Minas 3–0 Sancor Maringá (25–19, 25–16, 25–20)
