Giba
“Giba is one of the five greatest players in the history of volleyball. He is one of the most versatile and intelligent player I have ever met. At the age of 18 he was already flying” – said Ze Roberto who was the first coach who called Giba in the Brazilian National Team back in 1995.
Middle blocker Gustavo, Giba’s teammate from the glory days, also said a few nice words.
“He was the best player of our generation. Without him we wouldn’t have achieved all those things. He left a big mark.”
