Cruzeiro
Cruzeiro already secured the title of the best team in classification phase and showed a perfect performance (Wallace 14 points) against the team who, before this match, had the chance to claim the position of runners-up for playoff.
Cruzeiro will have the possibility to spoil the plans to another team. In the next round it will play against Sesi-SP who is also struggling for claiming the best position in the standings.
Sesi, thanks to the work of trio – Lucão (21 pts.), Mão (20) and Lucarelli (18) – took home win after turning over the match vs. São José dos Campos. The hosts came from behind on the scoreboard, but had the strength to react – 3-2 (22-25, 25-14, 22-25, 25-15 and 15-9.
Sesi might be third or the fifth at the end of regular season. It all depends on the results of their derby against Cruzeiro and also on the outcome of some other matches.
Seven out of eight playoff participants are known. Montes Claros Vôlei or Voleisul/Paquetá Esportes will fill the remained spot in the last round.
