The head coach of Brazil, Bernardo Rezende, announced the list of 15 players which will represent the national team at the South American Championship.

The biggest surprise on Rezende’s list is the absence of Murilo, a double world champion with the Brazilian national team, despite the fact that he didn’t participate in away friendlies that Brazil played in recent weeks against the United States, Canada, France and Slovenia (ten games – eight wins).

Also, Rezende didn’t summon Wallace, William, Visotto, Éder and Mário Jr, but it was known from before.

The South American Championship will be held from September 30 to October 4 in Maceió, Brazil.

Rezende’s list for SACH:

Setters: Bruninho (Modena/ITA) and Raphael (Taubaté); Opposites: Evandro (Sunbirds/JAP) and Renan (Ravenna /ITA); Middle blockers: Lucão (Modena/ITA), Isac (Sada Cruzeiro), Maurício Souza (Brasil Kirin) and Otávio (Taubaté); Outside hitters/receivers: Lipe (Taubaté), Lucarelli (Taubaté), Maurício Borges (Arkas/TUR), Lucas Lóh (Brasil Kirin) and Kadu (Montes Claros); Liberos: Serginho (Sesi) and Tiago Brendle (Brasil Kirin).
