Brasil Kirin’s opposite Wallace Martins (11 pts.) received MVP trophy, but he wasn’t the best scorer in his team. The Romanian outside hitter Bogdan Olteanu was, as he scored 15 points. Edson Cerqueira „Edinho“ collected 11 in Maringá.
São José dos Campos also achieved smooth victory in Superliga’s opening after beating Minas Tênis Clube in straight sets, as well 3-0 (25-19, 25-21, 25-23). Fabrício Dias “Lorena” led winners with 21 points.
