Sada vs. Tauabate
The reigning champions didn’t give too many opportunities to their opponents in the first two sets. Led by amazing sets of William, and good reactions by Wallace and Leal, Sada were destroying the defense of the away side!
In the third set Lucarelli answered on the other side especially from the service line. After three sets, Sada had 2-1 lead.
The fourth set was very uncertain but Leal was focused and with the best decisions led his team to the win. He also received popular Viva Volei trophy for the best player of the game.
“The game was difficult and we had very hard week to prepare for this game. Taubate were leading in the standings and we knew that they would be a very tough opponent. We expected uncertain match and we were focused to achieve the goal” – says Leal.
Leal was the top scorer with 25 points, while on the other side Lucarelli had 17. Recall that Gavin Schmitt made a debut for Funvic by scoring three points.
