Sesi vs. Bento
Bento defeated Sesi-SP by 3-1 (25-21, 23-25, 25-17, 25-21) and firmed in 8th place in the standings with 24 points, four more than São José dos Campos, first team off the classification zone for the playoffs.
The duel in São Paulo was balanced in the first two sets, with Bento taking the first and hosts (Leandro Santos 17 pts.) recovering after. By showing great consistency and determination, Bento, which had the setter Marlon Yared named MVP and Bruno Temponi scoring 22 points, won the third and fourth set with authority.
Second placed Funvic/Taubaté took another win Superliga, eighth in a row. They defeated last placed Juiz de Fora Vôlei by 3-0 (25-16, 26-24, 25-14), in „Abaeté“ gym where they recently suffered blow in the finals of the South American Club Championship.
Ricardo Lucarelli topped Taubaté’s scorers with 15 points while Leandro Martins had 13 in the losing team.
