In addition to beating Sesi-SP 3-1 (25-17, 25-13, 22-25, 25/16) in the fourth round of the Brazilian Women’s Volleyball Championship, Minas supporters had another reason to be happy about – they had first contact with the newcomer, the U.S. opposite Destinee Hooker! She was presented to the fans in “Arena do Minas”.

After announcing the signing for Minas, a month ago, Hooker arrived to Brazil this week and still undergoes physical tests before starting to train. A player, whose nickname is ‘Black Queen’, received a crown and greeted the fans during one of the match breaks.

“I’m looking forward to playing again, even more in front of the fans as passionate as Minas’. They support and love the team, I can’t wait to play,” said the opposite and even thanked the fans for the affection in Portuguese, Brazilian media published.
