Playing in front of own crowd, Cruzeiro prevailed in Game 3 in straight sets 25-12, 25-18 and 26-24 over Campinas, last season’s rivals in the finals, to won the right to play for the trophy for the seventh time in a row and grab it fourth time in a row.
Cuban Yoandy Leal scored 15 points for the winning side, while Diogo Silva had 11 for Campinas.
Cruzeiro now await the outcome of the other semifinals where Funvic Taubaté lead 2-1 in series against Sesi-SP.
