EUROVOLLEY U19 W: Twelve teams compete for gold in a historic tournament in Albania

For the first time in their history, Albania will organize a big event such as the European Volleyball Championship U19.

Tirana will be the capital of European Volleyball for ten days and this is an honor. I thank CEV for the trust they have shown in us and for the support that they have been providing, while we welcome all participating teams and we wish them the best of success,” said Erlind Pëllumbi, the President of the Albanian Volleyball Federation

Twelve teams will battle for a gold medal in the next nine days (1-9 September). The competition is starting on Saturday and here is the schedule.

The titleholder Russia will play against Serbia at the start of the tournament, which will be a remake of the 2016 final game when Russia defeated the Serbian girls in straight sets and grabbed the trophy.

POOL A, Saturday (September 1):

Albania – Netherlands 15:00 CET

Poland – Bulgaria 17:30 CET

Belarus – Italy 20:30 CET

POOL B, Saturday (September 1):

Turkey – Germany 15:00 CET

Russia – Serbia 17:30 CET

Slovakia – France 20:30 CET
